Facing Fears

Several years ago, in a tiny village, Willowbrook, there was a little girl who goes by the name Lily. Lilly was a very happy and full of life girl and she was in love with the dance. She was into the deep aerobic dances which was her favorite activity, and she would spend many hours deliberating over the different moves in her bedroom.

However, once cleaning under her bed, Lily discovered an abandoned old diary that had been buried under her bed. She got curious to read that diary, which didnot belong to her. While she was just skimming through it, she found out that it belonged to a 7-year-old girl named Emily, who also just happened to live in the same house.

As she started reading Emily’s diary entries ,she took Emily’s dreams and her fears to the heart. She started understanding Emily and her deepest sense of the self. She felt being on a time machine, and all the encrypted stories of the forgotten past were being revealed.

It was this one paragraph that gave her chills like an icicle 
down her spine. Reading further made the things even worse. 
Although she did not describe it very fully, Emily had made 
a mention of a very dreadful thing she had found under the bed. 
Lily's heartbeat was in the overdrive as she uncertainly 
imagined that it could be something. She,tentatively looking 
under her own bed, half witting was probably expecting to see 
a poisonous creature.

Finally she realized that she had reckoned with nothing more that a dust crevice and an old sock. Lily giggled uneasily bringing to her mind that Emily’s recollections spring from a very different period. Nevertheless, her curiosity got the best, and she couldn’t help but feeling intrigue of what made Emily freak out like that.

Lily was so curious to know about the Emily’s found that she decided to do a thorough research about the history behind Stills House. She headed over to the local library and spent the whole afternoon poring through the newspapers and also records looking for any clues. After reading several articles without finding anything particularly interesting, she finally chanced upon the one that sent down her spine a cold shiver.As per the story, there was uniqueness of the sudden events which were feasible for the electric shock and no human hand in the house many years ago. Individuals complained of hearing strange noises, seeing blonde figures, and feeling different incidents without a known reason. Their most uneasy encounter was a claim of the previous owner that there was a room hidden under the bed which was full of mysterious objects and gloomy designs.

Lilly fullheartedly started to join the dots. From the magical find of the portal to the secret room and the eerie objects she found beneath her bed, Lilly’s world started to change drastically. The fears and the confusion were so sharp and unexpected for her and she found, Emily’s diary was her rescuer.

Decided to find out the truth, Lily herself entered the room without assuming ghost was in there. Outfitted just with an shining flashlight and her bravery, she had gone deep into in that closed and spider-infested building. As she step in, she felt chills came down her spines. The room was completely filled with the old books, memento-objects, symbols that she couldn’t recognise.

Lily’s heart was in her mouth, the gravity of what had just occurred sunk in. To her it appeared that the room harbored the deepest mystery, and she wanted to get to the bottom of it. As the days subsequently passed, Lily continued to discover and unearth Emily’s secret through the maze-like riddle the tomb held.

Lilly dug deeper into the symbols and artifacts and she realized that the site might have ancient ritual which was related to them. Everything from the strange colors of the paint per the walls, the pentagram on the stone floor of the porch, and the talismans shaped from the metal scraps were clear traces of the believed by the current owners activities by the previous owners which were occult in nature. Lily suffered in secrecy getting worse each passing day. With every new grain of information she came by this realization became deeper and she found herself in a dead end.

Through the support of her close friends, Lily chose to finally bring to a conclusion the mysterious figures that emanated from her house. The women finally decided that the area of Serapis must be cleansed again, and they had a ceremony to end any destructive energy still hovering around the space. And then very timely, the house started brightening up somehow, and so did the strange things stop.

The journey of Lily has revealed the sauve history of the past and happily her home is at rest. She understood the value of conqueing her fears and finding the truth even when it meant accepting things in life those which were not  pleasant.
